The Windrush generation were invited by Britain to assist with the reconstruction of the effects of World War II
We honour and remember the Windrush generation that came to Britain with performances/displays of steel pan, quadrille, reggae salsa and a live band.
Windrush signifies those that helped to shape British social, cultural and political life. Our aim for the day is use the energy of Windrush to inform and inspire people about this tremendous legacy of Windrush pioneers.
An important part of the ball is for our supporting secondary school children to share, celebrate and appreciate the sacrifice and contributions of the Windrush Pioneers.
