Join us for a new instalment of our fantastically successful NYJO Jazz Jam, with singer and vocal coach Yvette Riby-Williams.

Specialising in an array styles including jazz, gospel, afro-groove and pop, Yvette has performed the world over with artists as diverse as the Boxettes, Jarvis Cocker and Bobby Mc ferrin.

She will be joined at this jam by the founding members of Shadow Writing; Dave O’Brian and Ed Hiller whose collective sound perfectly marries the sounds of rare groove and Jazz as they take us through an hour of tropical sounds and standards.

These sessions are open to all under 18s—parents, passers-by and jazz fans are all welcome to stay and enjoy the music. The musicians will kick-start the session with a set at midday, then the floor will open to all those who want to jam*.

*Piano and drums will be provided
