Black History Month social mixer event! Ran by myself Amber Mathurin (VP Activities) and Angel Layer (VP Education and Democracy) on October 2nd 5-7.30pm in Nuffield Hall. The event is being used to kick-start a series of other events over the month such as film screenings and the launch of a BME network. The social mixer open to all students and staff! With the aim of bringing together cultural and faith societies and giving them a chance to mix.
There will also be talks from internal and external speakers. As we want to stress the importance of making sure we acknowledge BME staff and students that are role models for the wider student body.
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided!
Spread the word, it would be great to have as many people as possible at the event.
