ONE brings you a ‘Celebration in film’ – come along to celebrate 30 years of Black History Month in the UK

 The first ever Black History Month UK event is noted as being held on 1 October 1987, when the Greater London Council marked the contributions of Black people throughout history.

This year as part of the Black History Month 30 year anniversary celebrations we are holding a ‘Celebration in film’ event.

We will be showing a short film that includes a cast of famous black Britons talking frankly about their lives and family history.

 There will also be time at the end of the film for a discussion of the topics raised.

 Our ‘Celebration in Film’ event is open to all – but please note that spaces are limited.

 Refreshments will be available.
