Save for Later
Come join us at St Georges CoE Shirley for a fantastic evening in our 1st celebration of Black History Month.
We will start the evening’s event at 18:00 sharp with a free Buffet and Drinks to give a taste of different foods from Africa and the West indies.
This gets us in the mood for a full evening concert from 19:00 to 22:00 with a mixture of music and poetry reflecting the richness and diversity of Africa and the West Indies in the UK.
We have a guest speaker, a direct descendent from the Windrush generation.
We have the privilege of viewing paintings from Nigerian’s own son DRE.
We have an exhibition of imagery from the Windrush Generation. There will be Arts & Crafts available for sale in support of the Hope Foundation in Ghana.
And finally, at 22:00 pm to 23:00 we have a “shake a leg” session brought to you by DJ Sabastian.
You really cannot afford to miss this event!!
