The Black History Month Extravaganza – Community and Family Fun day.

The Adanna Women’s Support Group would like to invite you to Barking and Dagenham Black History Month Showcase extravaganza event and

discussion on Black history and culture.

 

Date: Saturday 20th October 2018

Venue: Dagenham (TBC)

Time: 12:00pm – 6:00pm

This event will showcase the various talents and skills that make up the diverse people of African and Caribbean heritage who live and work in Barking and Dagenham.

The purpose is to bring together people from all ages and all backgrounds to celebrate the rich history of black people and discuss positively the issues affecting black people.

There will be

  • music,
  • Dancing,
  • Caribbean carnival costumes exhibition,
  • African drumming,
  • Reggae Salsa,
  • Steel band,
  • Black history exhibition,
  • Community stalls,
  • Food stalls,
  • Topical discussion on knife crime and gang violence,
  • Speakers and much more.

This annual event will be a showcase of Black history and culture

through various talents and skills that make up the diverse people of African and Caribbean heritage

who live and work in Barking and Dagenham.
