Black in Academia is the national campaign launched by Leading Routes which aims to further the conversation about the representation and experiences of Black students and staff in universities in the UK. We’re creating spaces and opportunities to celebrate Black achievement in higher education and prepare the next generation of Black academics.

Black in Academia LIVE is our biggest event yet hosted by the Wellcome Collection! We’re bringing you a two-night academic festival taking place on the 10th and 11th June 2019 offering something fresh to the world of academia. Expect an interactive evening with special guest talks, lively discussions and debates; and of course the opportunity to network and chill!

We want to connect academia with the wider community – this event is open and we welcome people outside of academia!
