In celebration of Black History Month and World Mental Health Day (10th October), Our Mel has partnered with Afro-Curiosity for Melanin Fest to bring to you “The Black Mind” a project created to raise awareness about Mental Health within the community.
Black Mental Wellness was found to create conversation about mental health within the community as it is a topic that has gone unspoken about in our households and social groups due to stigmas and misconceptions about mental health.
Join us on the 22nd October along with individuals who will be sharing their stories about their experience living with mental health and answering any questions you may have.
Mental health professionals will also be present to answer questions and give advice to those present.
