Can You Poet is all about spreading messages and building communities through the spoken words.

Whilst I agree that Black history is everyone’s history and we should be talking about it 7 days a week, 365 days a year, October is Black History Month.

We will be celebrating all related to the African diaspora, including history, culture, identity traditions and more, with a focus on how Africans and people of African descent have interacted with Britain.

There’ll be poetry, spoken word, storytelling and a guest speaker TBC
