Community will be hosting its first Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic (BAME) network forum at The Grange in Earls Barton,

It will be an opportunity for members across the union to share experiences and the challenges faced in work and society as well as being a chance to network with activists from across the union.

Chris Knight newly elected NEC member to the BAME members seat said; ‘I see my role as providing a link between the members and the elected body on the NEC helping Community to grow and be reflective of our diverse union as well as inclusive and supportive and able to campaign on issues that affect the lives of black members and their families in work and in society. It’s important we provide a safe and supportive environment to members where they can come together so that we can engage with members across the union. This event is essential providing the link between the members, its elected body and for me as an NEC member.’
