Save for Later
A weekly therapeutic group to support, sustain and nourish you in difficult times.
About this Event
Weekly sessions that offer you an opportunity to access therapeutic support while being witnessed by others in a compassionate, non-judgmental and non-directive environment. The focus of the group is to be present with what arises and meet the moment as we are, with no requirement to be any different. Sharing emotions helps us process difficult experiences during this uncertain time and create new narratives of hope if we choose to. Each group will be limited to five participants and group agreements will be in place to ensure the space remains safe for everyone.
If you have any questions, please email hello@kimloliya.com
*Please note that your confirmation email will have the Zoom link that we will be using for our meeting*
Facilitator:
Kim Loliya is a practicing integrative therapist and facilitator working with individuals and couples with a particular interest in supporting black people, people of colour and indigenous people with their mental health and wellbeing. Kim’s interests include grief/bereavement, relationships, stress/anxiety and sexuality.
FAQ
How does the format work?
We start with an introduction round, followed by a check-in where you are invited to share how you’re doing and for the rest of the session we explore some themes that are coming up for some or all of us and we end with a check-out before the session ends.
Can I attend just one session?
Yes! These are drop-in sessions and it’s an open group, which means you can attend just one session.
I’ve never been to group therapy, what can I expect?
Newcomers are welcome. You can expect a gentle space where you can share what your world is like, as much or as little as you want to and listen to the (often relatable) experiences of others.
Do you have some example topics people talk about?
Yes, past themes have included stress, boundaries, relationships, wellbeing, grief, managing conflict, problems at work, feeling low or worried, the impact of lockdown etc.
