Did you know: 1 in 4 adults will experience mental health problems in any one year?
#MentalHealth First Aid Champions in The BAME Community:
As part of our series of #Black #Asian and #Minority Ethnic (#BAME) Mental Health Awareness campaign this year, Mind in Haringey is offering the unique opportunity to train 20 #BAME Individuals from the #London Borough of Haringey for free, our 2 day Mental Health First Aid course will offer:
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)?
A two-day course that teaches participants how to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues and how to respond appropriately. You’ll learn how to help people in your community, family or workplace, and practical skills to support someone while keeping yourself safe, as well as local service information for signposting people to.
Who are the trainers?
Mind in Haringey has a team of experienced trainers (some with lived experience) who deliver MHFA programmes in Haringey, thanks to funding from Public Health, and Haringey CCG’s “Promoting mental health and emotional resilience”.
Please remember that this course is for two days, Saturday 16th September and Sunday 17th September; when registering for tickets please acknowledge that you will be committing to two days of training.
