About This Workshop
- Are you feeling stressed and anxious and living a busy and demanding life?
- Want to improve relationships with family, friends and colleagues?
- Gain confidence?
- Have more energy?
- Want to become clearer on what’s important to you?
This workshop will support anyone who is living a busy and demanding life, and wants to explore how to do things differently and see what’s possible! By practicing a few simple daily techniques we can very quickly begin to transform our lives.
In this 90 minute workshop we will delve a little bit deeper into the 7 concepts behind Mindfulness. There will be open discussions, and you also have an opportunity to see how these concepts relate to your life and how practicing mindfulness will benefit you personally. You will be given some simple tools to take home and practice.
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness teaches you how to bring your attention more to what we are doing right now in this very moment, rather than letting your mind wander off to the past or the future. When we are not mindful we get swept along, not fully engaged in what’s going on, so things just happen to us, and often not in the way we want.
But, when we bring our attention back to the present moment we give ourselves choices, and have an opportunity to powerfully change the way things play out.
Mindfulness becomes a way of life rather than something else we need to add to that never ending to do list. We are back in the driving seat and steering our lives in the direction we truly want to go!
Tickets include one cup of tea (e.g. English Breakfast, Early Grey, Green) or cup of coffee (e.g. Capuccino, Latte, Flat White) or soft drink (e.g. lemonade, cola, or juice). Early bird tickets available for a limited period. Please purchase your tickets asap!
About Natasha Harris
We are living in an increasingly fast paced world, which never seems to stop and rest and it can leave us feeling exhausted. I used to live my life at break neck speed and it took me many years to understand how the levels of stress and anxiety were affecting me, both physically and emotionally.
I am passionate about supporting people to reduce the stress and anxiety of daily life. I believe that by approaching things differently and with greater awareness, we can quickly begin to feel more in control and start to experience the benefits we want. Our overall wellbeing improves and with that so does our relationships with family, friends and colleagues. Not only do we feel better but those close to us see those changes too.
I am a Mindfulness Coach, Facilitator and Trainer who is accredited with the International Coaching Federation. I am also Reiki Practitioner and Meditation Teacher, and offer one to one Coaching, Reiki Healing, Meditation, Visualisation, Akashic Readings and Flower Essence Remedies for an all round holistic approach to reducing stress and anxiety
Through my work I also support people to reconnect to their life purpose so that they can reignite their passion and move forward with confidence.
Testimonials About Workshops led by Natasha Harris
“Thanks to this course, I took away some very useful tips that I can now use when I’m feeling really stressed out. I will now look to appreciate the little things more and hopefully be more patient with other people, especially those people that spring to mind that I get irritated or exasperated with.”
“I found this Introduction to Mindfulness really useful and Natasha is an excellent teacher and great communicator. Thank you!”
“Thank you for an incredibly informative workshop, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I left feeling very inspired and driven to apply the techniques you showed us into my day to day life. I will now try to listen to others and accept them without judgment and let go of the need to always offer advice. Thanks again and I look forward to your next workshop.”
“I was looking to gain some advice on how to balance life and work, and release some of the stress I was feeling. I wasn’t sure how I would be able to apply the principles of mindfulness into my life, but I have walked away with more confidence in myself. I also have a better understanding of how patience will really benefit me. Thank you.”
About Busy Rascals
Set up in 2012, Busy Rascals is a community project set up and run by Sharmine Chowdhury-Tse, local mum of two. Based at The Queensbury Gastropub, Busy Rascals was set up in response to local parents asking Sharmine to organise local baby and children’s activities for the local community following her successful weekly charity coffee tea social support morning which she set up in 2011 whilst pregnant with her oldest child. Busy Rascals aims to support parents and carers with their babies and children. We organise and host a variety of weekday and Saturday classes and activities. We are passionate about the physical and emotional wellbeing of children and their parents and supporting parents to make informed decisions and therefore host a variety of adhoc workshops to inform and empower parents about topics relating to parenting and caring for their children, such as Paediatric First Aid and Gentle Parenting. We also run adhoc events such as our own seasonal parties/ fairs (Winter, Annual celebration, Easter) for the local parent and carer community and their children. Many parents find it difficult returning to work after having children. 90% of the classes, activities, events and workshops we organise are run by parents to support them back into the workforce after having children.
