Small Axe Community Forum

The aim of the Small Axe community forum is to create a weekly online space where Black Brits are free to discuss the most recent offering from Steve McQueen’s Small Axe anthology series. Since the first round of festival reviews resulted in predominantly non-Black and non-British perspectives on the films, facilitators Grace Barber-Plentie and Rōgan Graham aim to foster a freeing environment of learning, joy and mutual understanding for Black Brits. The forum will also feature special guests working in film and relative fields, discussing their work and experience in relation to each film. The series begins airing on BBC 1 from Sunday 15th of November with zoom discussions to take place the following Wednesday (18th) at 8pm GMT. Tickets are free but booking is required.
