A fun evening beginners course that will give you the knowledge and skills to become a stand up Comedian or stand in front of an audience and deliver a presentation.
You will be training in a great environment alongside other students with teachers who have some of the biggest names in British comedy. There will also be guest comedians sharing their journeys and giving you extra tips on how to gain entry into the comedy circuit.
The course will run for one Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 9.30pm for five weeks. There will be a weekend showcase on the fifth week.
Class size: Maximum 10 students per class.
Course topics:
How the industry works – gigs, bookings etc.
Gain techniques to hold a room, address an audience and deal with interruptions/hecklers.
Techniques in microphone use and stage presents.
Techniques in how to write create material for stand up comedy.
Confidence building exercises.
Experienced tutor still current on the comedy circuit.
Weekend Showcase Performance on the fifth week.
You will receive friendly feedback throughout the course.
Course fee: £150
