Your festive host with the absolute most [and a bonafide taste for the baddest in groove] JAZZHEADCHRONIC welcoming back the ultimate show man, ex lioness signee and Amy Winehouse backing singer and collaborator ZALON THOMPSON to the South London Soul Train Live Xmas stage and watches the mistletoe fall. It’s a Christmas Love in y’all and we wanna get freaky with yooooooou.

ZALON THOMPSON might be better known as a backing singer for the late Amy Winehouse [who signed him as an artist in his own right to her Lioness label, as well as encouraging him to perform his solo work during her live sets] However in the here and now, 2017, It’s a new chapter for Zalon, with a new album about to launch – packed with a treasure trove of smooth soul ballads and upfront grooves in the vein of Curtis Mayfield & Marvin Gaye – Zalons on a roll and we are truly excited to welcome him to The South London Soul Train Live Stage. Let’s get it on!
Then on level 2, Legendary Funk, Soul & Rare Groove Heads DJ’s SNOWBOY and ANDY LEWIS hold down proceedings with an almighty rare on 45 100% guaranteed dancefloor demolition session. Bringin’ the funkin’ heat on 45 to the dancefloor and igniting it, Again and again. All night long. Damn!
Level 2 / Room 2 – S’all about Tru Skool Beats as your souled up, rootical audio warrior KEITH LAWRENCE + STU TOLHURST set out to prove that Reggae got Soul. The Duo taking to the decks for an all night mission to seriously rooticaliciously funk you upah! Expect 60’s,70’s, 80’s Reggae, roots, rocksteady, ska and early dancehall served up with a healthy side order of 70’s & 80’s Soul, Funk & Disco to 90’s R n’ B & Hip Hop, Reggae & Relative Grooves + a whole lot of giving it up on the floor.
The South London Soul Train 3 Floor, 4 room Line up completed in the Rye Wax basement – Time to enter The REACH UP DISCO WONDERLAND. Legendary DJ ANDY SMITH + NICKY HALKES & CRISSY KYBOSH dropping 80’s boogie, soul, funk, disco and proto house, evoking the spirit and dipping into the soundtrack of legendary NYC clubs such as ‘Paradise Garage’ & ‘Studio 54’.
As always, all floors taking all passengers on a Non-Stop Magical Mystery Tour through all things Too Damn Funky. P-Funk to Jazz Funk, Soul Jazz to Rare Groove N’ Stax, Brass, Breaks, Bop and Hop to Motown, Club Classics and Anthems.
However – Passengers are requested to check their Souls at the Station as this ones for good time party people only! No Bass Wobbles Here, Only Love, Funk and Souuuuuuuul.
