Black Lives Matter Detroit – Virtual 5K

**All Proceeds will be donated to the Black Lives Matter – Detroit Chapter**

(Eventbrite charges a 2.5% payment processessing fee ($0.25 per $10) which we will contribute back to the total to make up the difference in the donation.)

Please donate and join us virtually on Saturday, June 6th at 10am for a 5k to benefit BLM Detroit. You are encouraged to run at your own pace and wherever you are most comfortable, as we are still dealing with the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic. For those that would like to run together, the organizers will be starting at the intersection of Michigan & Trumbull in Corktown, Detroit.

BLM Detroit chooses to actively participate in the cultivation of a culture that affirms, uplifts, and honors the multitude of life experiences within Black communities and across all spectrums. We choose to use our platform to uplift long-standing activists; providing avenues for:

• political education
• artistic expression and education
• cultural, social, economic analysis
• food and nutrition justice activism
• direct support for those impacted by state-sanctioned violence.
