All too often, migrants and refugees face hostility, discrimination and rejection, instead of the respect and generosity everyone deserves. From the Government’s Hostile Environment, to the Windrush scandal, this is a problem playing out in our media, politics and communities that has terrible impacts. And what happens here, feeds into a rising tide of anti-immigrant sentiment across much of the globe.

But how and why did these views form?

How do we change people’s minds?

What practical steps and changes can we, and politicians make, to make migrants welcome?
