gal-dem is a print, online magazine and creative collective comprised of women of colour and SUGAR is our bi-monthly club night which provides an inclusive space for readers to dance and connect with people irl.

Jordss is the founder of female collective Girls Can’t DJ. Jordss has residencies across London and regular shows on Reprezent and Balamii Radio. Last year saw Jordss progress rapidly playing at numerous festivals such as Bestival, Lovebox and Secret Garden Party. She had her boiler room debut in Jan.

8ULENTINA is a DJ, producer and interdisciplinary artist based in Oakland, California. 8ULENTINA’s work focuses on creating diasporic fantasy spaces through the use of sound, sculpture, garments and video. 8ULENTINA is the co-founder of Club Chai, an event series, curatorial project, record label and radio show. Their DJ sets include a wide range of BPMs and genres, piecing together global percussive styles across borders, combining non western dance music with club, techno, rap and RnB.

South Londoner LIL C combines Bashment with classic R&B, Hip-Hop, Afrobeats and contemporary UK Rap, capturing the sound of the transatlantic diaspora.

April Brown
Producer/curator April is an advocate of inclusive cultural spaces. Her eclectic selections blend between the rare groove & riddims of the 70s/80s and the bad gal bass injected, soulful & funky jams of 90s/00s. Influenced by shubeens, house parties, pirate radio and the multifarious sounds of growing up in East London, her soul aim is to get people dancing, good vibes rolling and celebrate culture and community.
