About THE “P WORD” Launch Party

Join us on Zoom as we celebrate the launch of THE “P” WORD, a groundbreaking business development programme for diverse creative entrepreneurs and artists.

Hosted by The Groundbreaker himself, industry veteran and founder of INDUSTRY IN THE STREETS and BMT x BWT STORIES, FUSION, who will compère the conversation and help us to launch in style.

You’ll be able to:

  • Engage with each of our entrepreneurs, learn about their aspirations and reasons for applying to the programme
  • Meet and hear from our partners as we explore why the programme is essential in the current political, economic and social climate
  • Find out more about the programme and whether it could be for you and your enterprise in the future
  • See an exclusive visual arts commission which will be started and completed live during the launch – watch the artist at work!

About THE “P” WORD

THE “P” WORD is a brand-new, nine-month leadership development programme for diverse artists and entrepreneurs. Co-designed with its participants, THE “P” WORD is being led by PUNCH and the CENTRE FOR RESEARCH IN ETHNIC MINORITY ENTREPRENEURSHIP “CREME”– at ASTON UNIVERSITY BUSINESS SCHOOL.

As COVID-19 continues to impact the creative industries, innovative models of business support are needed now more than ever, especially to tackle the structural inequalities that continue to hold back the potential of black artists and new-entrepreneurs. THE “P” WORD is designed to identify “roadblocks” holding back the productivity of creative businesses and will address them through bespoke training and intensive mentoring.
