Workshop 1: Children aged 5-7 – 1:15-2:15pm
Workshop 2: Children aged 8-11 – 2:30-3:30pm
Free
Come and meet our Time Traveller who will take you on a journey back in time to the Windrush voyage; learn about the famous musician passenger Lord Kitchener, think about how the British people may have felt about the arrival of immigrants from the Caribbean, and explore what settling in Britain was like for the Windrush’s passengers.
By using drama activities such as roleplay and tableaux to explore the topic children have to show their knowledge by passing tasks and working together to become Time Travellers themselves.
Each workshop can only hold up to 30 children, so please make sure you book in advance.
