On 22nd June 1948 The Empire Windrush Docked at Tilbury Docks from Jamaica with some 500 British Subjects ( who were born in the West Indies and were from the colonies) who came to help rebuild post war Britian.

A time of reflection and celebration of the contribution of the Windrush Generation with historic and modern displays along with activities.
This is a community event open to everyone and schools & colleges are also welcome.
