Learning Through The Arts are proud to announce After The Storm, a touring performance focusing on little know Black history of post-WW1 in the Aylesbury Queens Park Arts Centre and the Watford Pumphouse Theatre this October.
The play aims to shed light on untold stories to people of all ages and backgrounds. It focuses on the often untold but very true history of Britain after the First World War and portrays the racial tensions that are often unknown about this time. It is a powerful performance that is wonderful entertainment as well as having a strong message.
Set in 1919. Madu returns from the Western Front with fresh hopes and expectations, but life takes a completely different turn. After The Storm, is a story of one man’s quest for survival and posterity, characterised by selflessness, determination and fortitude.
