Save for Later
I received this message yesterday as a member of the BYP Network and thought I should share it here, as it is very good news. I have to say well done to the team and I am proud to be a member of the Network, there website can be found by clicking HERE
Hey Members,
Yesterday was Black Out Day, a global
initiative that focused on black people and allies not spending a penny outside of their community. At BYP we hosted seven webinars with our partners: UKBBS, Lendoe, Byooti, Refined Currency, Supa Network and UAP. The theme of the webinars was black empowerment and we touched on:
Entrepreneurship, Economic Spending Power, Business Finance, Black Owned Media, Generational Wealth, Education and the Beauty Industry. We had over 25 panellists and hosted 120 – 190 members per panel. We are so thrilled with how the day went and pleased to have such positive feedback. All the panels were recorded so we will let you know once they are available to watch. We wish that Black Out Day could be every day as community collaboration and mobilisation is necessary for economic growth.
Speaking of economic empowerment, yesterday we officially launched our Crowdfund Campaign to the public. In just FIVE days of our private/public launch, we have received £457.5k by over 630 individual investors. We are so close to hitting our £500k target, so if you’re yet to invest – then check out our live campaign page here.
We are also proud to announce that we have been awarded a £500,000 advertising budget by WeTransfer due to Kike, Co-Founder & CEO of BYP Network, winning a national pitch competition. The campaign will go live from July 14th for one month to over 100 countries with total impressions of 33 million!!! WeTransfer has over 80 million users and transfers 80 billion files a month. We expect this campaign to grow BYP Network’s reach to new members, companies and investors.
